Active Investor Plus Visa: Growth and Balanced Options

The Active Investor Plus Visa is a residence pathway for experienced investors who want to live, work and invest in New Zealand. Current settings offer two investment categories with different minimum investment amounts, investment types and time commitments.

Growth category

The Growth category generally requires at least NZD $5 million invested in acceptable New Zealand investments for a minimum investment period of three years. It focuses on higher-growth investments such as qualifying direct investments and managed funds.

Balanced category

The Balanced category generally requires at least NZD $10 million invested for five years. It allows a broader mix of acceptable investments, including lower-risk options that meet Immigration New Zealand's rules.

Applicants must be fit and proper people, demonstrate that nominated funds were lawfully earned or acquired, transfer the approved funds through acceptable channels and maintain qualifying investments throughout the required period. A partner and eligible dependent children may be included.
