Studying in New Zealand can be the first step toward an internationally recognised qualification, valuable work experience and, for some graduates, a longer-term work or residence pathway. The right plan starts with choosing suitable study and understanding the visa consequences before enrolment.
Choosing the right course and provider
A student visa application is stronger when the proposed study makes sense in light of your previous education, employment history and future goals. For study lasting more than three months, applicants generally need an offer of place from an approved New Zealand education provider and must meet tuition, living-cost, health, character and genuine-intention requirements.
How we help with education planning
We discuss your academic background, English level, career plans and budget. We can help compare suitable institutions and programmes, coordinate applications to schools or tertiary providers and explain how programme level, duration and subject choice may affect future options.
How we help with student visa applications
We prepare the student visa strategy and document checklist, review the offer of place and financial evidence, help explain study plans and genuine intentions, and manage the application and any Immigration New Zealand requests.
Where a partner or dependent children are involved, we assess the visa options available to the family and explain any work or study conditions.
Study-to-work planning
Some students may have work rights during study, depending on their programme and visa conditions. Eligible graduates may have post-study work options, but eligibility depends on the qualification and the immigration settings in force when the application is made.
We help clients plan beyond the next visa by considering employability, occupational registration, skilled work and potential residence pathways from the outset.
Education and immigration policies change frequently. Always confirm the current requirements before paying non-refundable tuition or making travel arrangements.
